Many many students are already very concerned about "making quiz/test corrections."
This is my plan for implementing our "Mastery Assessment Activity"---------------
1. On Tuesday 9/7 I will start class with the Mastery Intro Worksheet and give back students' graded Quiz 1.
2. They will work with a partner to do the following:
a. Put both names on one piece of paper.
b. Alternate the writer for every problem (i.e. there should be alternating handwriting styles every other problem!!)
c. Write correct steps or how you know the answer is correct for each problem.
d. There needs to be substantial support for each answer.
3. Homework is to choose 15 problems from the three attachments (choose 5 problems from each worksheet!)
4. 1st part of block day give the Unit 1 Part 1 Quiz 1 MASTERY --- 'let's chat about how to grade this --- possible a 10/10 new assessment column for all students -- or do we make a new column in the assessments called "MAST" and record their new score out of 15 points?? Thoughts??
